ANTSO Maritime Tourism Industry and Trade Inc. It was established in 2024 in Anamur, Turkey’s closest point to Cyprus and only 44 miles from Kyrenia.


ANTSO Maritime Inc., established under the leadership of Yücelen Foundation and Anamur Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the opening of the “Anamur Ferry and Seaplane Pier”, which was completed by the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Turkey in 2020, aims to contribute to the economies of Turkey and TRNC with the tourism of our region.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Turkish and TRNC citizens can travel between Northern Cyprus and Turkey using either their passport or TC/TRNC ID. Tourists traveling with their vehicles can also bring their vehicles using their IDs. However, those with residence/work permits and students must use their passports when bringing their vehicles. Turkish citizens traveling with passports can exit Turkey by paying an exit fee. Passports of Turkish and EU citizens must be valid for at least 2 months, while passports of citizens of other foreign countries must be valid for at least 6 months.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Turkish citizens traveling to the TRNC must use the NEW TYPE CHIP IDENTITY CARD for exit. Exit procedures from Turkey using old-style ID cards have ended. As of October 1, 2021, children aged 0-15 must also use a PHOTOGRAPHED chip ID when leaving the country. This rule does not apply temporarily to those coming from earthquake zones. Those coming from this region can enter the TRNC with a temporary ID document provided by the civil registration office. Driver's licenses and birth certificates do not replace IDs and are not accepted when traveling abroad.

Trip cancellations, route changes, and time adjustments will be communicated to you via SMS and email. Additionally, you can inquire for information through our call center and port office phone numbers.

You can cancel your ticket by clicking on the 'Cancel' option on the right side of the passenger names in the tickets received via email. Follow the steps to confirm your cancellation. The cancellation process is subject to cancellation conditions and our penalty policy. The calculated refund amount will be credited to the card used for purchasing within 5-7 business days from the transaction date.

Within the first 24 hours of ticket issuance, cancellation and refund can be made without penalty (except for tickets whose trips fall within the first 24 hours). Cancellations made up to 24 hours before the departure time will incur a 25% penalty deduction. Within the last 24 hours before the departure time, tickets can be canceled with a 50% penalty deduction. No changes or open ticket options are available within 24 hours before departure. Cancellations made within 6 hours before departure will incur a 75% penalty deduction, and no date changes can be made. For tickets past the departure time, only the tax amount will be refunded.

Authorized agencies, the change link sent via email, or Central Offices can make date/route changes or convert tickets to open tickets until 24 hours before the departure time. Open tickets are valid for 1 year from the ticket issuance date. If there's a price difference for the new selected trip, you are responsible for paying the difference according to the terms of the ticket sales contract.

We offer discounts for disabled individuals and members of the press. When purchasing a ticket, you can select 'disabled' or 'press member' among the passenger types. There is no discount for seniors aged 60 and above. On our vehicles that carry both passengers and vehicles, there are no wheelchair ramps for walking-impaired passengers or those in need of assistance. The entry and exit taxes for passengers and vehicles are included in our prices. However, for your vehicle travel, you are responsible for obtaining and paying for the mandatory traffic insurance valid in the country you are entering.

Passengers under the age of 18 cannot travel abroad without a notarized 'LETTER OF CONSENT' from their non-traveling parents if they are traveling with their ID card from their country of citizenship. Passengers under the age of 18 traveling with their ID card require a letter of consent from both parents if traveling with only one parent, or from the parent not accompanying them if traveling with someone other than their parents or alone. If custody is with a legal representative, a notarized letter of consent or authorization from that person is required. Passengers under the age of 18 traveling with a passport do not require parental consent or a letter of consent.

We offer free transportation for your pets such as cats, dogs, and birds on our trips. Your pets must be in a suitable cage for comfortable and safe travel. Small pets in cages are accepted in closed passenger lounges. When entering the closed passenger lounges, your pets must be in a cage with a hard or soft surface. The maximum cage dimensions allowed in the lounge are 105 cm x 73 cm x 79 cm. Large pets in cages can travel in designated areas on the ship deck. Pets are not allowed in ship cabins.

When traveling to Northern Cyprus with your pet:

You can bring your pet (cat, dog, and bird) with you to Northern Cyprus. Passengers who want to bring their pets to Northern Cyprus must obtain an "Import Pre-Approval Certificate" from the Veterinary Services Directorate of the Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources of Northern Cyprus within 30 days before entering the island and present this certificate to our company and the relevant officials upon arrival in Northern Cyprus. When entering Turkey with your pet:

Passengers can bring two pets and ten fish with them as exempt from customs duties. Pets are defined as cats, dogs, and birds. A veterinary health report, origin, and vaccination certificate, and if available, an identification and transit certificate must be presented. Our passengers are limited to two suitcases and one handbag for Sea Buses, and three suitcases and one handbag for Ro-Ro ships. There is no weight limit per piece. All baggage responsibility rests with the owner, and the carrier is not liable for any damage or loss that may occur during the journey. Additional fees may be charged for excess baggage at the ports.

Passengers can use their entire allowance of 1 kg of chocolate or food made from sugar, or their 2 kg allowance for a single product.

We do not accept any responsibility for pregnant passengers during ship travels. Also, we emphasize that no intervention can be made for pregnant passengers on board the ship.

Pets are not allowed in ship cabins. Small pets, provided they are in cages, can stay with you in closed passenger lounges. Your small pet can only enter closed passenger lounges in a cage with a hard surface or in a cage/bag with a soft surface. Large pets can travel in cages on the ship deck, in the area designated by the ship's personnel.

 

The departure times are indicated according to the local time of the country from which the ship will depart.

Passenger and vehicle tickets are personal and cannot be transferred or used by someone else.

Every Turkish citizen of all ages (including those aged 0-15) who will exit to Northern Cyprus with their ID card must use the new type, chip-enabled, and photo ID. Children aged 0-15 who do not have a photo ID card can use a passport.

You will be informed about situations such as trip cancellations, route changes, and time changes via SMS and email. You can also obtain information from our call center and port office phone numbers.

Turkish and Northern Cypriot citizens can travel between Northern Cyprus and Turkey with both their passport and their new type chip-enabled TC/KKTC identity cards. Vehicle owners traveling with their vehicles can pass with their new type chip-enabled identity cards without the obligation of a passport. The use of photo-chip ID cards has become mandatory for children aged 0-15. Turkish citizens traveling with a passport can exit Turkey by paying an exit fee. The passport requirement continues for students, workers, or residents with a residence permit.

Our ship personnel are trained only in first aid. Therefore, only first aid interventions can be performed during the journey. However, it is important to note that medical interventions cannot be performed at sea in cases where first aid is insufficient. The risk and responsibility for passengers with chronic illnesses lie with themselves.

Seat numbers are assigned on our ships. Your seat number will be provided at our port offices along with your boarding pass 2 hours before the departure time indicated on your ticket on the day of the journey.
